TRI-COUNTY SUMMER LEAGUE RULES – 2011

There are four separate divisions:

            1.  Varsity        3.  8th Grade

            2.  JV & 9th      4.  7th Grade

Games will be played on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights starting on May 23rd and ending on June 30th.  Game times will be at 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00.

  1. All games will consist of two 20-minute quarters with a 5 minute half-time.  The clock will run continuously until the last minute of each half.
  2. ONE free-throw only for any/ALL shooting foul(s). One and one free throws will not be shot to ensure more game time. Double bonus free throws will be allowed after the 10th foul of a half.
  3. Game time is a scheduled time for the first game and the second, third and forth games will start 10 minutes after the previous game has been completed.  If a forfeit takes place, then the next game will start at the regularly scheduled time.
  4. A team must have five players to begin a game or that team will forfeit the contest and four players to finish a game. WE WILL DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO HELP YOU NOT FORFEIT THAT GAME. WE HAVE ASKED OTHER TEAMS/INDIVIDUALS TO STICK AROUND AND HELP OUT IN MANY CASES. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THE ATHLETES GET TO PLAY.
  5. A flagrant technical on a player will result in a one game suspension.  Two flagrant technical fouls will result in a player being removed from the league.
  6. A player must be registered through Tri-County Summer League to be able to play in league contests. Additions or substitutions on a roster are prohibited unless approved by a TCSL supervisor.
  7. All games will be played at Frenship HS and Terra Vista MS.
  8. One full and one 30 second time out per half. (no carry over from the first half to the second half)
  9. A player may continue to play after their 5th foul, but any foul by that player after the 5th  will be treated as a Technical foul (though 1 shot & the ball).

10.  Each team must furnish either a scorebook keeper or a clock operator.  There will be no score kept on the scoreboard.

  1. Each team must provide your own warm up balls.  One game ball will be provided.
  2. Certified TASO officials will be used for all games.
  3. After your games, please help us by picking up trash in your bench area.
  4. A player cannot play if she does not have a Tri-County T-Shirt. During the first couple of weeks, if shirts are still being ordered or it is the fault of the league that a player does not have her shirt, a Frenship coach will speak to the official to let them know that the athlete will be able to play for that game only without her shirt.
  5. After the 8th foul, a player is no longer eligible to play.
